This Privacy Policy explains how Curasta Team collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Curasta app and related services. Curasta is intended for users aged 17 and older.

1) Who We Are (Data Controller)

Curasta Team is the controller of personal information processed under this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise stated.

2) What Curasta Does

Curasta helps you declutter and organize items such as clothes, bags, cosmetics, and accessories by letting you record items (including photos), track usage, and receive personalized recommendations and analysis.

3) Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account information (provided by you): name, username, email address.
  • Support & communications (provided by you): content you send to customer support (including messages, attachments, and information you choose to provide).
  • Photos and item content (provided by you): photos you take or select and information you input about your items (e.g., item labels, notes, usage details).
  • Location (optional, with permission): approximate and/or precise location when you grant permission. You can control location access in device settings.
  • Automatically collected: device information, usage statistics/analytics, crash logs and diagnostic data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (web-based portions): if you access our website or any web-based parts of the Service, we may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies for login, preferences, and performance/usage understanding.
Face data: We do not perform facial recognition and do not create biometric identifiers/templates from your photos.

4) AI / Automated Analysis (Photos and Text)

Some features use automated analysis (including AI-based analysis) to generate recommendations and insights.

If you choose to upload photos or text for analysis:

  • Processing location: processed on Curasta Team servers (infrastructure we control).
  • No third-party sharing: we do not share your uploaded analysis inputs with third parties.
  • No training/marketing use: not used to train advertising profiles or for marketing.
  • Deletion after processing: analysis input content is deleted immediately after processing (or as soon as technically feasible).
  • Your control: you decide whether to upload and whether to generate analysis outputs.

By default, photos you capture/keep for organizing items are stored locally on your device.

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Personalize your experience and provide tailored recommendations (when you opt in)
  • Improve features, performance, and reliability (including debugging and crash analysis)
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information.

6) How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary and consistent with this policy:

  • With your consent
  • With service providers/entrusted processors: vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations and only for specified purposes
  • For legal reasons: when required by law or lawful process
  • To protect rights and safety: to investigate fraud or security issues

We minimize sharing to the least necessary information for the stated purpose.

  • After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days (unless legally required otherwise)
  • Usage analytics: retained up to 12 months
  • Support communications: retained up to 6 months
  • AI analysis input: deleted immediately after processing (or as soon as technically feasible)

10) Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/object, and withdraw consent.

11) Children

The Service is not intended for children under 17. If you believe a child under 17 provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above when changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.

13) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of our principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy will be resolved through binding arbitration, as permitted by applicable law.
